How to Give Both Parents/Guardians Access to a Student's Account

Each account consists of one main person (e.g. Parent/Guardian) and then all students. Access is granted to the account based on the parent/guardian's details.
In cases where both parents/guardians require access to the account, we recommend the two following options:

Option 1: Recommend that parents/guardians create a single email address which they can both share to access the student's account.

Option 2: Manually add a second account for the child and allocate the second parent as the main contact on this account.

Example 1

Student Account with the Mother as the main parent
Student first name: Mary M
Student last name: Murphy
Phone Number/Email: Mother's contact details

Example 2

Student Account with the Father as the main parent
Student first name: Mary F
Student last name: Murphy
Phone Number/Email: Father's contact details

For further guidance on implementing Option 2, please follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Click Clients and select Add New Name in the drop-down options.

Step 2:
Fill in the relevant parent details and click Register. Ensure that the Add Additional Family Members box is ticked.
Example:
To create a student account with the father as the main contact person, input a capital F beside the first name of the student.
To create a student account with the mother as the main contact person, input a capital M beside the first name of the student.

Step 6: Select the appropriate Type from the drop-down options.

Step 7: Fill in the details of the parent/guardian, ensuring that the appropriate contact details match with the appropriate student account. Once satisfied, click Add to save your changes.

Example:

Student Account Mary M Murphy → Mother's Contact Details
Student Account Mary F Murphy → Father's Contact Details

Step 8: To allow for text or email notifications, tick the relevant boxes and click Update Text/Email Settings.

Step 9: Repeat this process to create the student's second account with a different parent/guardian as the main account. Remember to label the first name of the child to show this difference, e.g. Mary F Murphy when the father is the main contact person.
